My Journey

Crafting Stories, Capturing Moments

Animals have been part of my story since growing up in New Zealand, a passion which followed me to Melbourne in the late ’80s. Studies in photography, wildlife care, journalism and garden design shaped my path, taking me to the Arctic for polar bears, Borneo for orangutans and Kangaroo Island for native wildlife - all inspiring children’s books, wildlife guides and photo essays along the way. I’ve also spent over a decade volunteering with wildlife and now call in the upper Yarra Valley rainforest home, surrounded by the animals who keep my stories alive.
